The meter is a stop off. Otherwise, it seems to work well. There is pretty good info on line about adjusting the meter, so maybe I'll get ambitious one day and give it a try. I also have a junker to practice on.
Funny, I just picked up an XA-2 for peanuts and it seems to work. The next time it gets above freezing here I am going to try it out. Your pictures look good!
I really like the XA2. Mine tends to underexpose in bright light. I should probably try to adjust the meter. I tend to set my XA at 8ft and shoot everything that way, so there is no real advantage for me in the rangefinder.
